Are You Conservative or A Liberal

I was reminded today that Conservatives are totally involved in their lives, jobs, family, church and community.  They tend to be volunteers and generously give time and money to those less fortunate.   The majority are NOT political activists because they believe in less government involvement in their daily lives.  They vote and are passionate about America, individual liberties and the U.S. Constitution.  Living in the greatest Republic in the world, they expect their elected officials to actually carry out the political promises that won them the election.  Tolerance to the conservative is “I do not like or believe what you do, but you have the right to your action or belief as long as you do not hurt others or break the law”.  They believe in individual liberty, religious rights, free speech and the second amendment.

Liberals, on the other hand, seem to be running on the feelings and emotions of the political issue of the moment.  They want big government intrusion in their lives, in fact, they demand it.  Big on social issues, they have gown to expect government to take care of the less fortunate.  Lately, they have come to believe the class warfare lie that the wealthy should be forced to pay half their wealth in taxes so there can be more government handouts and social programs.  In the spirit of the “new tolerance” if something offends them, then the offender should not be allowed to do or say the “politically incorrect”.   For some reason, Liberals are constantly on the defensive.  If something offends them they become tolerance tyrants, bullies actually, in an attempt to force others to agree with their agenda.   They rage and use hate speech freely toward anyone who does not agree with them; ignoring the idea of free speech and religious freedom.

Last year I became aware of what was actually happening to America under Obama’s watch.  As a resident of LD 21, I started attending the LD meetings in order to meet the legislatures and understand the local political issues.  Prior to 2009 I paid little attention to Washington politics, thinking that it was not my job but that of the elected officials.  Oh, I always voted even when my choices were not the best.  Unfortunately, “we the people” have taken our liberty for granted, believing that nothing could ever take down this great nation.   Conservatives across this land, just like me failed to understand that there actually those in Washington whose agenda is to destroy the Constitution they swore to defend and protect.  It is difficult to understand that so many elected officials have a one world government agenda and they actually hate America, capitalism and free enterprise.

It is time for Conservatives to wake up and Thursday, August 1, 2012 millions in this country did just that.  They supported a Christian business whose decision to support traditional marriage made the Liberals RAGE with “hate speech” on the internet.  Yes, as usual, the Liberal activists took the statement “we support traditional marriage” and heard “we hate gays”.   Believe it or not CHRISTIANS DO NOT HATE GAYS.  However, Liberals only hear HATE speech when someone disagrees with their values and views.
